HAZOP Leader Skills Course in Adelaide, South Australia

The course is designed for technical managers, plant managers, design engineers and project engineers who have been trained in HAZOP techniques and gained practical experience by participating in studies.

Previous training in Participant HAZOP study techniques and/or significant practical experience in HAZOP studies is required

The HAZOP Leader skills training  uses a combination of presentation, class discussion, practical exercises and case studies. You will be asked to lead several small HAZOP studies and receive constructive feedback from the presenter and your peers.

This course provides attendees with the extra skills needed to lead successful Hazard and Operability studies for all types of processes, including construction, demolition, vehicle movement and control systems.

The cost includes the HAZOP Leader Manual and book of the Standard HAZOP Guide Words, training material handouts, and a Certificate of Achievement.

ICI PLC in the UK developed the technique of HAZOP in the early 1970s. The presenter , Myrna Hepburn, joined ICI Engineering in 1995 as a Risk Engineer and conducted the HAZOP Training courses for ICI and then Orica, and continues to do so today.
